An ensemble of twelve singers, the Jerusalem Vocal Consort enriches the choral landscape in Israel by showcasing music from the Renaissance and Baroque periods. It is the only vocal ensemble in Israel dedicated to performing music from these periods.

In 2022, Rachel Bachner founded the Jerusalem Vocal Consort, under the musical direction of Rachel Segman and Yael Dushy. The ensemble brings forth diverse and engaging concert programs, and has performed at various renowned festivals: Abu Ghosh International Vocal Music Festival, Shaon Horef Festival, Manofim Festival, and represented Israel at the International Choral Music Festival in Tbilisi (Georgia).

The Consort has collaborated with some of the top musicians and ensembles in the Israeli baroque scene such as the Israeli baroque collective ‘Baroccada’, Soprano Ye’ela Avital, Counter-tenor Yaniv D’Or, the ‘Mezzo’ ensemble and the ‘Nari’ ensemble.
